![]() ![]() I kind of doubt I’ll have time for endless grinds. I honestly don’t know what my commitment to it will be. My son and I chat about it occasionally, looking forward to it. (PDT), viewers on Twitch will be able to earn Twitch Drop rewards (Friday-only) by tuning into their favorite streamers on that platform. This new version of D2 looks pretty cool. When the Early Access to the Open Beta kicks off on Friday, August 13 at 10:00 a.m. ![]() I saw the graphic attraction that the kiddies liked, but for me, I just didn’t feel like endless item searches and leveling was worth my time anymore. Granted there was issues but fixed as far as I know. One of my sons got into D3 pretty heavily and he liked it a lot. The amount of play time that’s been available for D2 far outweighs the price of admission imho. Perhaps it’s a contextual issue that doesn’t affect me (ignorance IS bliss?). I never really understood people that complain about Blizzard not caring about it’s players, past or present. I think it’s a good run for video game which has received a number of patches and offers free online play. I’ve been playing D2 off and on for 20years now. The things it adds is your typical modder's free tweaks and whatnot. Sorry, but i simply cannot find it to my heart, paying 40 bucks for a game that i already own twice. On the pros side, Blizzard said there is going to be mod compatibility, the stash is expanded somewhat (although nothing great like Plugy) and there is a small number of mostly useless, quality of life improvements, such as cash being auto-picked up. Both DRM and new artwork, had been what made me stay the hell away from Diablo 3 in the first place anyway so, i think i ain't touching the Diablo 2 "demaster", either! Besides, the new graphics seem to be cartoonish and WOW-ish much, colorful, with less gory/dark feel. DRM for me, is a partycrusher and a moodkiller, so i wouldn't endure it even if they paid me to (i always run Diablo 2 with NoCD, whenever not playing a modern version). Which means, no fully 100% offline Single Player. DRM may not be "always online", but from what others noticed, it needs to connect from time to time, in order to validate and allow access.
